Products

The Company currently has three main soy-based product lines and manufactures a branded barbecue sauce for retail and foodservice customers.  The Company’s products are certified “Kosher Pareve” by the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America and complimented by a full HACCP/GMP program and years of continuous AIB “Superior” ratings.  Please click here to request a sample of our products.

ULTRA-SOY®
Rich in high-quality vegetable protein, Ultra-Soy enhances and accents a variety of food products. It is formulated to be uniquely bland so as not to detract from other ingredients. Ultra-Soy is sold primarily to food processors for use as a meat extender or as a replacement ingredient in stews, casseroles, salads, goulash, stroganoff, baked potatoes, a la king dishes, potpies, and homemade soups. It is produced in a variety of shapes, sizes, and colors, and can be specially fortified with vitamins. Ultra-Soy products are available as textured soy flour and textured vegetable protein.

Analogs
Analogs are soy protein products designed to simulate the flavor, appearance, and texture of meat products. Examples of the Company's analog offerings include imitation bacon bits, beef bits, ham chiplets, chicken bits, and seafood-flavored chunks. Analogs are used as flavor enhancers for salads, vegetables, casseroles, omelets and other egg dishes, hors d'oeuvres, cheese spreads, biscuits, salad dressings, snack dips and soups. Analogs are sold to repackaging companies, food-service distributors, food manufacturers and restaurant chains. The Company uses its Ultra-Soy and Imagic trademarks in marketing its analog offerings.

Textured Soy Protein (TSP®)
The Company manufactures textured soy protein under its TSP trademark for sale to manufacturers of pet-food products. TSP is specially formulated with soy or wheat protein (gluten) to address the needs of the pet-food industry and its priority of seeking inputs with the absolute lowest cost. These pet-food companies have come to rely on the Company's expertise in custom manufacturing products that meet their stringent quality standards.

Legacy Foods also distributes other soy ingredients in a range of protein levels (50-90%). This allows the company to be a one-stop source for all soy based ingredients for the customer.

BBQ and other sauces
In December 1987, the Company acquired the assets of Curley's Barbecue Sauce. Curley's zesty, tangy flavor and robust thickness are created using original recipes incorporating savory blends of aromatic spices. Curley's comes in five varieties: Hickory, Smoky, Mesquite, and Hot and Spicy. The Company blends, cooks, and bottles Curley's on-site at its Hutchinson facility. In 2002, the Company added Lems Sweet and Sour sauce. All of the sauces are sold in retail and food service markets.
